It's hard to post those RV logs with pictures and make it come out any way right at all! So even though I could only get Day 1 & Day 2 up, oh well, hopefully the next time we have internet I'll have more time. Ha!
At least a lot of the photos are loaded into the Web Album. Try the slideshow on this link:

Let me know if that link doesn't work for you, ok?
We're leaving Kansas and are off to Missouri today!

Daily RV Logbook Pages
Sept 26, 2007
Hot 93
Location: Waxhaw NC
Destination: Lake Stephens Campground WV
Long Day! Packing like madmen all morning. Finally departed with Joel well after 1pm. Made gas stop & Camping World to put on the 4 in drop receiver.
I got super sick on the last 9 miles of S-curves to the campground and vow never to go there again! Arrived after sunset. Disappointed with the site but took the kids to a very nice playground while Ben set up & started pizza in the oven. we set up colored lights, twig lights, streamers & balloons for Elsie's birthday. Beautiful! Fun!
Magical.
Kids would not sleep (11:30!) Full moon when I walked to the lake of the mountains. Gorgeous night.
9/27
Raining, Overcast, warm
Destination: Jackson Lake Park, OH
Driving away not bad! Sat in front seat :) ! Left around 10am. Stopped for Joel to treat us to Starbucks, gassed up. Stopped 12:30 for lunch. Rained the entire rest of driving. Arrived after 3pm. Took the kids to the 'playground' which was 4 swings, 3 of which were over huge mud puddles. (Elsie said "Ooh, somebody's going to be in trouble for that! Who put that water there mommy?")
We walked over swampy bridge; a leaping frog scared the crap out of me & got me freaked out about snakes for some reason. We picked up kindling for a fire. Fire did not start; way too wet. Strollered around camp met the friendly folk mixed with some hick types, one I had to avoid, scary-ish. Bunch of full-timers.
We saw the airshow coming in. Elsie noticed it first, she laughed "It looks like those airplanes are chasing each other!" Hanging around outside our site, the kids were saying they loved it here, that it was SOO fun. And all they were doing was running up the little hill to the fence, then down the fence, down the little hill, and back over to me. Whatever!
The kids would not go to sleep. I got to watch most of The Office premier though, in spite of breaking the antennae handle. Ended up with one very nice hour to myself before I fell asleep on the sofa.

Busy Week!
It's really impossible to express in words or photos what this trip has been like, but we'll at least post from our RV log and put up the pictures we did manage to take. And so far, we've had very little free time to contact anyone and we haven't had the internet access Ben had thought we might have.
Here is a picture from this morning's oatmeal breakfast near last night's campfire (still in Indiana) (you can see the playground across the road, always the most important feature of a site) and we'll get the rest up on the web album.

My first chance to get on the computer! Just wanted to say Hi and that things are about as crazy as you'd figure they'd be. I'm in the laundromat of the KOA near Ft. Wayne (Indiana), and it's a very nice one, all frilly and super clean. I'll probably take a shower here later if I get a chance. As difficult to find time to myself as it ever is! And actually, everything's just as challenging as normal life is. Only now it's surreal because I never know what day it is or even where we were this morning! If anywhere!
I appreciate all you hood folks keeping an eyeball on the old homestead. Hope no one ever has to go in there! The place was left a Wreck, so don't tell me if you witnessed it ok?
The kids are doing great, having fun at every campground, even the cruddy ones. Just checking out the new places is exciting enough for them. Bowser too. SnifferooFest! They've even been doing ok with all the driving. We've managed to keep the trips short, except for one rather overly ambitious day to Grand Rapids. Oy. Can't remember if it was worth it or not. Oh wait - yes! It was! It was great fun there, super playground, and we had a really awesome day since for once we didn't have to drive, there was one night's break in the scheduled shows.
Ok, I may try my hand at blogging stuff, but I'd feel stupid to do it without pictures, and I don't think we brought the connector thingy for the camera. Anyway, if I do, I'll be sure and email it to y'all. Nevermind, I'll just blog this on that old site since we won't always be able to get an internet connection maybe I can just publish stuff out once we're on.
Well, got to go fold! Have a great one!
